Interim Spaces has acquired 19 Town Street, including the former Madhatters café and the maisonette above.

With support from the Architectural Heritage Fund through the UK Government-funded Heritage Revival Fund, we’re exploring ideas for both floors. We want to work with the community to understand what is needed and whether these ideas meet those needs.

We also plan to use the café for pop-ups, events and activities before the main building works.

The café will host temporary activities while we develop the restoration plans, subject to the space being available.

We’re considering food pop-ups, workshops, talks and small performances. Confirmed dates and attendance details will be published here.
